Pet Samaritan Clinic was established in the early 1900's to care for horses that were used to pull trolleys from the Willamette river into the Portland residential area. Though Pet Samaritan now offers complete veterinary care to a wide range of smaller animals, it still remains in its original location (2519 E. Burnside). The Clinic is owned by Patricia Huff D.V.M., who has operated it since 1982.
